Dancing With The Stars a family show?
Monday, November 22, 2010  at 8:10 AM

Whose moral compass put "Dancing With The Stars" in the category of "family show" ? That is utterly insane!

Since when is half dressed, gyrating hips, vulgar body movements and pretty much out rite making out as a dance, for family viewing? Am I missing something or is this the new moral standard of our society?

I can hardly believe Christians would promote that program. It's offensive and down rite nasty. God help us!

Riddles Across the Street
Tuesday, November 09, 2010  at 7:55 AM

There was a man alone who lived, across the street he'd look, a family lived a dog, two cats and a cockatoo Shanook. Shanook's a bird with vision, a riddle from his beak. "Take heed these things I say, these words you cannot bend. Take not the knot to tie the day that surely will not end."
The family dog and just one cat would praise their bird Shanook. They pleased his riddled beak with treats so sweet he took. Poor Poe's the cat of praise the bird he will deny. His eyes would sneer the feather's fluffed from a corner he would hide.
A morning came Poor Poe was gone across the street a man who lived alone, with hopes of sympathy he'd purr, a time to play Poor Poe was sure.
Back home across the street, a family lived he missed, upon the perch that feathered freak he thought to reason with. The family, the dog and just one cat, could hear the riddle speak, "Take heed these things I say, these words you cannot bend. Take not the knot to tie the day that surely will not end." Everywhere they looked and looked that bird with vision he did speak, the cockatoo Shanook.
Upon the perch Poor Poe would sit. A cat with vision, riddles from his whiskers he did speak, "Take heed these things I say, these words you cannot bend. Take not the knot to tie the day that surely will not end." The family gathered round Poor Poe to hear his riddled whiskers speak. With snacks and treats their fury friend would praise for him to eat.
Sir Mount's the dog of praise, the cat he will deny, from a window he would look to see, upon the perch his fur would fluff the freaky cat would speak, "Take heed these things I say, these words you cannot bend. Take not the knot to tie the day that surely will not end."
The day had come across the street a man who lived alone, to visit his freaky friend Poor Poe. Across the street when he arrived all that he could find, upon the perch Sir Mount did sit, could not believe his eyes. Visions of a muzzle, riddles he would speak, "Take heed these things I say, these words you cannot bend. Take not the knot to tie the day that surely will not end."
Across the street the man who lived alone, looked back no more across the street a family lived, a dog two cats and their bird with vision gone. To be alone he thought was good, really for the best. All the days to come, across the street he lived, a riddled tune he'd sing until his final rest, "Take heed these things I say, these words you cannot bend. Take not the knot to tie the day that surely will not end."

Our sexuality is not our nationality.
Tuesday, October 12, 2010  at 8:11 AM

A sexual preference is being treated as though it were a "race" of people. For pete-sake! It's what a person prefers in sex not a nationality!
Homosexuals want rights for their preference. They want equal rights because of what they sexually prefer.
Because those of us who, believe the scripture, (Leviticus 18:22, Leviticus 20:13 ) say anything against their sin, we're called names like "homophobic, hate bashers and intolerant" of what should be kept behind closed doors! Not set up as a foundation for rights. You already have rights here in America! The same rights as anyone here.

It's their intolerance of man with woman, woman with man that has pushed everything phobic to a new level. They are demanding a change in the function of American education, entertainment and a backward way of family life.

The new religion of political correctness is pushing Americans in a dialogue bondage of expressing and explaining what things are and the way we see it. We're called names for saying a name.

Christianity and other beliefs that homosexuality is a sin are the ones not being tolerated, hated and even accused of "being dangerous' just for saying what the bible says is wrong!
We are being stripped of our rights to say anyone is wrong.
Please don't even place sadistic and perverted acts of others in the same category of "saying" what we believe as the media does so extreme and dogmatic.
I would never hurt a homosexual for being homosexual. My uncle is gay, I love him very much and would probably hurt anyone who physically hurt him for that. However, the truth of homosexuality can be very painful for those who are blinded by lust.
Homosexuality is clearly condemned by the Bible.
http://carm.org/homosexuality

It goes against the created order of God. He created Adam and then made a woman. This is what God has ordained and it is what is right.
Unlike other sins, homosexuality has a severe judgment administered by God Himself. This judgment is simple: They are given over to their passions. That means that their hearts are allowed to be hardened by their sins (Romans 1:18ff). As a result, they can no longer see the error of what they are doing. Without an awareness of their sinfulness, there will be no repentance and trusting in Jesus. Without Jesus, they will have no forgiveness. Without forgiveness, there is no salvation.

Leviticus 18:22
"Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable."

Colon Cancer Operation-They Got It All!
Wednesday, July 28, 2010  at 4:55 PM

Hubby was diagnosed with colon cancer as a result of his routine medicare exams. A miserable and lengthy process...
Today they operated. Cut away some of his colon and praise God, they got all of the cancer! I'm so happy I probably don't make much sense. I just wanted to publicly praise God and give Him all the glory for His mercy and compassion. Thank you Jesus!

"The Star Spangled Banner"
The Defense of Fort McHenry
by Francis Scott Key
20 September 1814

Oh, say can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hailed at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, through the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?

On the shore, dimly seen through the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, now conceals, now discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner! O long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wiped out their foul footstep's pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight, or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.

Oh! thus be it ever, when freemen shall stand
Between their loved homes and the war's desolation!
Blest with victory and peace, may the heaven-rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation.
Then conquer we must, for our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: "In God is our trust."
And the star-spangled banner forever shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

A Flea Named Frale
Saturday, June 26, 2010  at 6:56 AM

A Flea Named Frale

Once upon a time…
There was a flea named Frale. One day the flea, Frale, found a fair haired feline who’s name was Frank. While Frank, the fair haired feline was napping on the lounger, Frale, from across the room, jumped onto the fair haired feline, and as Frale fell, Frank felt a tickle on his furry back from the flea, when Frale fell.

Frank scratched and meowed and scratched some more till the flea, Frale, fell to the floor. Frank, the feline, found his foe, Frale, and chased him round the fancy room till the flea, Frale, freed himself from the feline, Frank.

All curled up, the feline snoozed again, forgetting the flight of the flea, who waits another chance to hop the feline, Frank.

Illegal immigrants-free to break laws-not for long!
Tuesday, June 22, 2010  at 7:07 AM

Neb. city votes to restrict illegal immigration
FREMONT, Neb. – This small Nebraska meatpacking town has joined Arizona at the center of a national debate about illegal immigration after voters approved a ban on hiring or renting property to illegal immigrants, but an expected court challenge could keep the measure from ever taking effect.

There is a difference between being illegal and immigrant.
Illegal immigrants act as though the laws are against immigrants, not so, it's against illegal immigrants.
Notice the key word in bold used 3 times in one + sentence, explaining the simple fact of being illegal, not being an immigrant.

The discrimination is against being illegal. Shouldn't we all take a stand-discriminate against crime? Being a habitual law breaker is being a criminal, taking from society instead of contributing to society.
Want to be an American citizen and live here freely or be an illegal immigrant to freely break our laws?

It's long past due for these changes in our laws to take place. I for one am very impressed and commend Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer .
She refuses to flinch! That is exactly what we need to fight this illegal immigrant issue! Now Nebraska has joined!

Please take note: I am the farthest thing from being a republican, and would rather clean an anaconda's cage... while he's still in it! than to be a republican;... But I tell you what, this stand Brewer has made shifts my feelings in a direction I never thought could.

Abby Sunderland's Parents Should Pay The Rescue Bill
Saturday, June 12, 2010  at 6:47 AM

(UPDATE) Countries paying teen's rescue cost defend sea law

The 11-hour flight cost an estimated 110,000 Australian dollars (US $94,500).

The second day, after locating her, the agency sent another plane to coordinate her pickup by ships racing toward her damaged and drifting yacht.

The Australian military also deployed two Orion aircraft to wait on an Indian Ocean island in case an airdrop or further assistance was needed. An Orion costs about AU$30,000 an hour to operate.

In the meantime, the French territory of Reunion Island diverted three ships to Sunderland's location. The fishing vessel that reached her first lost at least three days of work; a commercial ship also sent to her rescue would have added three or four days of travel time to its intended destination.

Further down the page:
Even the U.S. Sailing Association refused to sponsor Sunderland's bid,
considering it too dangerous. She did not have insurance for her trip, and her
mother has said there is no way the family could pay the rescuers even if asked
.

====
Then their daughter should not have taken the risk. Admitting others will have to cover the cost of a rescue is a sign of, "not caring who pays". The parents should at the very least be fined. A family outing is one thing, but an adventure for mere fame is another.
====

Abby Sunderland, shown here in Cape Town, South Africa, on May 21, was tryijng to become the youngest person to circumnavigate the globe in a sailboat.
====
THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. - A French fishing vessel rescued a California teenager Saturday from her crippled sailboat in the turbulent southern Indian Ocean, her family and rescue officials said.

Laurence Sunderland, the father of 16-year-old Abby Sunderland, told reporters outside his home that maritime authorities had contacted him to confirm the rescue.

Sunderland has been stranded in heavy seas since Thursday, when she set off a distress signal after the mast collapsed, knocking out her satellite communications.
Stranded Calif. teen sailor...

I'm very grateful to God that she's ok and has been rescued however, the bill for the rescue should be sent to her parents. A sixteen year old should never be allowed to make such a decision as dangerous as sailing around the world ALONE!
Telling her, "you can do it, you're capable and experienced, don't worry, you'll be alright" is just the thing that forces her to prove they are right, she is capable. Even if she is capable that doesn't mean she should! Why? For just the reason as her having to be rescued at the expense of others. Only the grace of God has kept her safe, not her abilities!

Request for half
Tuesday, June 08, 2010  at 9:26 AM

Hubby made a request this morning. He asked me if I could bake half a cake. As if baking breads, pies, pudding cakes, cookies weren't enough, oh wait, that's the point, the portion is too much. To eat half is not an option, he wants half a cake. That would mean rewriting the whole recipe format!
Example:

1/2 egg
1/2 cup flour
1/2 of 1/4 tsp salt
1/8 of 1/4 of 1 cup of sugar
1/2 of 1 cup milk

Mix all ingredients in half a bowl with half a spoon till half stirred. Pour into half of a whatever inch pan, and half bake at half of 350 oven, (I'm a half-wit at math, you figure half of that) for half of 45 minutes, and also;... sorry, there is no such thing as a half oven, so do the best you can.

Julie & Julia, My Opinion
Friday, May 21, 2010  at 6:31 AM

Julie & Julia
The movie
My husband and I bought and watched the movie, "Julie & Julia". We love Julia Child, she was a blast to watch and we hoped the movie would highlight more of her intersting life than it did.

Julie Powell's Blog
I went to her blog, "The Julie/Julia Project", this morning to leave a praise comment but she had deleted all of her post with the exception of Julia's death and how she felt about it. I Googled her and found her new blog here at blogger and read just a little bit to find she's foul mouthed and futher Googled to find she's an athiest. I was very disappointed. I can see why Julia Child was a bit offset with Julie Powell's blog.

Julie Powell's engaging, here and now writing style is fun and easy to attach to but her foul-filthy mouth turns my stomach.

Blond Cop

So a blond was speeding down the highway. All of a sudden she gets pulled over (obviously because she was speeding.)

The cop who pulled her over was also a blond (uh-oh)... The cop says "Ma'am i need to see your drivers license ID."

The driver was confused, being blond and all.

So, the cop decides to remind her what an ID is. "Ma'am its a rectangular thing with your picture on it"

The blond still has no idea, but looks for it anyways. So funny them blonds. She pulls out a rectangular mirror and hands it to the cop.

The blonde cop says to the blond driver, "Oh, sorry ma'am if I had known YOU were a cop too, I wouldn't have pulled you over."

Over the past few weeks, we’ve seen the American masses whipped into a frenzy of political disagreement and anger.

Some of what we’ve seen is pure hyperbole. That’s how America does politics, in our own twisted, nutty, and glorious way.

But some of what we’ve seen goes beyond good, old-fashioned political disagreement.

Some of what we’ve seen, like the coffin placed in front of the home of Missouri Democratic Representative Russ Carnahan, the cut gas lines at the home of Virginia Democratic Representative Tom Perriello’s brother, the death threats received by Michigan Representative Bart Stupak, and the message New York Representative Louise Slaughter got that snipers were going to kill her children are nothing short of terrifying — especially to the elected officials and their families on the receiving end of the threats. Right Wingers and the Militia

These people are unbelievable!! You've got to read this!!

For Hutaree, Web rumor stoked anger at Obama

Tina Stone (U.S. Marshals Service)
"A member of the Hutaree militia charged with federal crimes was upset because she thought that President Barack Obama had signed into law this month a bill that would spend $20 billion to help the terrorist group Hamas settle in the U.S.

There was never any such legislation, but Tina Stone believed it was the truth, according to her Facebook account. "H.B. 1388 Passed.... It's bad news for us all," Tina Kelley, her maiden name, said on her Facebook page on March 19.

She then said in an update:

"I'm peeved,,, when people in this country is getting kicked out of there homes everyday and our government passes a bill to spend more then 20 billion dollars to bring Hamas here and supplies them with food and homes that just wrong."

On March 26, the day before the federal raid of Hutaree, she wrote at 12:21 p.m., “I'm so stressed I could KILL someone!!!!!!!”

Stone, part of a Christian militia busted by federal agents this week, apparently got the false idea from fake e-mails and Internet chatter that claimed Obama and Congress had passed H.B. 1388 to help Hamas.

According to the site factcheck.org — which tries to debunk lies on the Internet — the false rumors were generated in part from one e-mail that stated:

"Something happened... H.R. 1388 was passed yesterday, behind our backs. You may want to read about it. It wasn't mentioned on the news...Obama funds $20M in tax payer dollars to immigrate Hamas Refugees to the USA. This is the news that didn't make the headlines."

Stone was charged with being part of a plot to murder multiple police officers that would create a revolt against the U.S. government. Hutaree is a Christian militia that she was a part of."

Experts and the Southern Poverty Law Center, a civil rights group, said the weak economy coupled with an African-American president has led to a dramatic increase in militia activity over the past year. The number of extremist anti-government groups and militias grew from 149 in 2008 to 512 in 2009, the center said.

Alaska Has Largest Debt Burden in US
Sunday, April 04, 2010  at 6:32 AM

Post-Palin Alaska has largest debt burden in US

"Sarah Palin has long sold herself as a fiscal conservative, arguing against the Democrats' health overhaul on the grounds that the nation simply can't afford it.

When, Sarah Palin, the unsucessful vice presidential candidate, resigned as governor of Alaska in the summer of 2009, she left the state with a 70 percent debt-to-GDP ratio -- the highest state debt burden in the United States.
That's according to data compiled by the Washington Independent's Megan Carpentier, who notes that Alaska has a debt burden similar to "that of Jordan and Palin's favorite health care resource, Canada, and a higher ratio than Ghana, India, the Philippines or Uruguay."

By comparison, crisis-stricken California has a debt ratio of less than 40 percent.
What makes observine Republican governance in Alaska all the more confounding about Alaska's debt is the fact that it is an oil-producing region with a small population to share in that wealth. Oil-rich Alberta, Canada, for example, collects no sales tax and still managed to retire its debt entirely in 2004.

Alaska's massive debt burden can't be blamed entirely on Palin's two-and-a-half-year stint as governor, she did face similar debt problems while mayor of Wasilla, and those appear to be of her own making."

Open gays in our military is compromising the security of our country! It degrades our integrity. Simply by the fact that one's personal sexual preference overrides the structure-strength, of our military just for the sake of one's sexual preference!
How will they modify the living quarters and conditions? Will they have to completely re-build military stations to comply with one's sexual preference? It's ludicrous! It's good to be open minded but you can be so open minded your brain falls out.

"Dr. Livingstone, I Presume?" (1813)

David Livingstone, a Scottish missionary and explorer, was the first European to cross the African continent. He aimed to facilitate the abolition of the slave trade by opening Africa to commerce and missionary stations. During his travels, Livingstone made many geographic discoveries and amassed a complex body of knowledge that took decades to mine after his death. He is the subject of the popular quotation, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" Who uttered the famous phrase upon meeting him in 1871? More... Discuss
