Discharging gays to draw more scrutiny in military - The Associated Press

"Reuters Discharging gays to draw more scrutiny in military The Associated Press WASHINGTON — Discharging a gay person for violating the military's "don't ask, don't tell" policy will draw unprecedented scrutiny under new orders from Defense Secretary Robert Gates, who is already pushing to repeal the ban on gays serving openly in ... Open gays in our military is compromising the security of our country! It degrades our integrity. Simply by the fact that one's personal sexual preference overrides the structure-strength, of our military just for the sake of one's sexual preference!
How will they modify the living quarters and conditions? Will they have to completely re-build military stations to comply with one's sexual preference? It's ludicrous! It's good to be open minded but you can be so open minded your brain falls out.

"Dr. Livingstone, I Presume?" (1813)

David Livingstone, a Scottish missionary and explorer, was the first European to cross the African continent. He aimed to facilitate the abolition of the slave trade by opening Africa to commerce and missionary stations. During his travels, Livingstone made many geographic discoveries and amassed a complex body of knowledge that took decades to mine after his death. He is the subject of the popular quotation, "Dr. Livingstone, I presume?" Who uttered the famous phrase upon meeting him in 1871? More... Discuss

If Dr. Livingstone were here I would say, 'happy birthday!'

    Monday Multitasking

    Laundry-cleaning-work on blog-unstack images.
Unstacking images is impossible here at Blogger. I just don't get it. No matter how tiny the pics they will stack. I have to make a table with separate cells in order to show my images next to one another instead of stacking on top of each other. As if I didn't have enough to do and I haven't even had my nap yet!!
My coffee is cold. No problem. I just finished off a whole bag of M & M's.

    2.3.2010
I just cannot make up my mind on my background imaging. I make my own graphics and I seem to spend so much time working on that, with little time left for posting! My bullets aren't red enough I don't think. Hmmmm.

    2.2.2010
Hubby looked at my Blog yesterday and couldn't read it so I completely redone the whole thing. Actually, I couldn't read it either, hehe. Tomorrow I will work on a menu tab that will be placed at the top instead of the Category list which I do not like.

  • A Mess On The Sofa
    Monday, March 01, 2010  at 10:11 AM

This is what we call relaxed and a "mess on the sofa" here at our house. These two are more fun to watch than television. Cept maybe American Idol.

    Deadly Beauty

Next on the list, an unusual, graceful bloom is to blame...the ANGEL'S TRUMPET (datura stramonium). It's other names include JIMSON WEED, STINK WEED, LOCO WEED and DEVIL'S SNARE. Loco weed is the best description as this lovely specimen is a potent hallucinogen. However, a small "mistake" can lead to a fatal overdose! Just say "no" to drugs!!!

I have this all over my yard, and my neighbor has a huge tree of it. It's gorgeous. I had no idea it was deadly!! until I came across this Blog, "Garden in Paradise" this morning, awesome! Tons of information on deadly plants. I hope she doesn't mind that I'm using her pic of this deadly beauty. If so, just let me know (if you see it here) and I'll remove it.
